The classic liveaboards in the northern Red Sea lead to some of Egypt’s most famous dive sites.
Highlights include Ras Mohammed, Tiran, Abu Nuhas and the wreck of the Thistlegorm. These routes combine spectacular reefs, wreck dives and large schools of fish.
The south routes are among the most spectacular liveaboards in the Red Sea and lead to remote offshore reefs.
Famous sites include Daedalus Reef, Rocky Island, Zabargad and Elphinstone. Encounters with hammerheads, oceanic whitetips and other large pelagic species are possible.
The North Route lives from the combination of wrecks, reefs, fish schools, wide visibility and the feeling of experiencing several remarkable Red Sea dive sites on one route.
The North Route combines history, structure and atmosphere underwater – especially at legendary wrecks such as the Thistlegorm.
A liveaboard creates a special feeling: open sea, clear visibility and impressive dives away from normal daily dive operations.
On selected south routes, encounters with oceanic whitetips, hammerheads and other pelagic species can be among the most impressive moments.
A liveaboard is more than just diving. Life on board, the atmosphere within the group and the special moments between dives also make these trips so intense.
The start of a liveaboard begins with anticipation, good organisation and the special feeling that several intense diving days in the Red Sea are ahead of you.
After the last dive of the day, the Red Sea often shows its calmest and most beautiful side – with sunset, sea views and a relaxed atmosphere on deck.
Liveaboards live from good atmosphere, shared experiences and a well-coordinated team. This is exactly what makes time on board so special for many guests.
Our marine park liveaboard to some of the most famous offshore reefs in the southern Red Sea is currently fully booked. Together with Wolfgang Frühwirth, we explore Daedalus Reef, Rocky Island, Zabargad and – depending on conditions – further spectacular dive sites in this region. For future south routes, you can send preferred dates by email to Touren@diverontour.com.
From 28 November to 05 December 2026, this liveaboard takes us to the legendary offshore reefs of the southern Red Sea. Together with Wolfgang Frühwirth, we experience some of Egypt’s most spectacular dive sites. This south route is fully booked.
Daedalus Reef is one of the well-known offshore reefs in the Red Sea. Walls, large coral formations and the possibility of encounters with hammerheads, oceanic whitetips and large schools of fish make this reef especially interesting for experienced guests.
Rocky Island and Zabargad are located far away from the coast and offer impressive walls, caves, overhangs and extraordinary biodiversity. Their remote location often provides very good visibility and a special liveaboard atmosphere.
This route is suitable for guests who want to experience the more remote Red Sea: offshore reefs, blue-water dives, spectacular coral landscapes and the chance of big-fish encounters.
Changes to the route are possible at any time for safety reasons or due to weather or authority requirements.
You do not have to give up comfort on board. Our liveaboard boats offer bright, well-maintained and modern cabins for relaxing nights between dives – from spacious suites to comfortable double cabins.
Spacious suite with plenty of daylight, sea view and high-quality furnishings – ideal for guests who want to enjoy special comfort on their Red Sea liveaboard.
Functional, clean and cosy: these cabins with two single beds are ideal for friends, dive buddies or solo travellers who want to spend their liveaboard comfortably.
Bright double cabin with a pleasant atmosphere and immediate feel-good factor – perfect for couples or guests looking for quiet and cosy accommodation on their liveaboard.
Besides life on board, the underwater world is the main reason why Red Sea liveaboards are a true highlight for many guests.
The reefs around Hurghada and along the liveaboard routes are known for their colour diversity and impressive biodiversity.
While diving, guests frequently encounter sea turtles gliding calmly above the coral reefs, making every dive even more special.
In addition to larger fish, you will also find many exciting macro creatures such as octopuses, moray eels and shrimps.
Giant coral formations shape many dive sites in the Red Sea and create impressive underwater landscapes.
Coral gardens, walls and wrecks provide varied dives on a liveaboard in different regions of the Red Sea.
With a bit of luck, sharks and other large marine animals can also be observed on a liveaboard. Such encounters are natural experiences and cannot be guaranteed.
The most important questions about route, experience, boarding, equipment and organisation are directly visible as cards.
